Click here for my resume! A Shinto priest and a Buddhist monk were sharing the road together. The priest was proud of his religion, and even more proud of his attainments therein.
"I have mastered the magics of my religion," he boasted. "I can create food from thin air! I can enslave the wild beasts! Why, with just a snap of my fingers, I could kill you, just like that," he said, snapping his fingers. "So tell me, monk. What powerful magics do you practice?"
The monk grinned, and peeked at his travelling companion. "I practice the most powerful magic of all," he said. "When I'm hungry, I eat. When I'm tired, I sleep." ME NOT ME So, the problem is like this.... I'm supposed to tell you who I am. But one of the basic tenets of Buddhism is that, in the end, the "self" doesn't exist. Religion aside, I have a hard time sitting down and defining myself.

There's another koan about a Buddhist monk who is stopped on the road by a Prince riding in his royal carriage. The Prince asks the monk, "Who am I?"
The monk proceeds to dismantle the Prince's carriage, piece by piece. As he does so, he raises each piece in his hands and asks, "Is this the carriage?"

We're agreed, then. I'm not going to tell you who I am. Instead, I'll share pieces. Likes and dislikes. Hobbies. Work. And, as they become available, I'll throw a few family pictures in, as well. Picture number one, to the left here, is my wife and I (or would that be not I?). We don't normally dress like that. We're on our way out to the dinner theater. But what the heck. It's the only one I have ready right now.

So I hope you enjoy the pages. They're all 100% hand-coded, as I'm trying to learn HTML, CSS and, after that, JavaScript. The backgrounds, titles and simpler graphics are all mine. I've borrowed a graphic here and there (with permissions, of course) to make the site a little less boring. Hope it worked.
